Schedule: Day Shift, Full-Time
Department: Vascular Access Team
Location: Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center

What We're Looking For:
  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
  • Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred. 
  • Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
What You'll Do:
  • Insert and manage vascular access devices including peripheral IVs, PICCs, midline catheters, central venous catheters, and implanted ports 
  • Assess patients and recommend appropriate vascular access solutions based on clinical need 
  • Troubleshoot complications such as occlusions, infections, and device dislodgement
  • Provide expert consultation and support to nursing and provider teams throughout the hospital 
  • Educate patients and families on vascular access care, maintenance, and safety practices 
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient-centered care 
  • Promote evidence-based practices that support patient safety and positive outcomes
