The Missouri Public Service Commission regulates investor-owned electric, natural gas, steam, water and sewer utilities in Missouri, in addition to manufactured housing. We ensure that Missourians receive safe and reliable utility services at just, reasonable and affordable rates. The purpose of the Customer Experience Department is to investigate and make recommendations to the Commission on issues related to the customer experience and customer expectations, which include promoting and encouraging efficient and effective utility management and customer service.
Responsibilities - What you’ll do
- Perform operational, service quality and management analyses of Missouri regulated utilities.
- Reports on the effectiveness and efficiency of Missouri regulated electric, gas water and sewer utilities.
- Examine utility proposals related to customer experiences and customer expectations.
- Plan, organize and coordinate moderately complex Commission, state and federal legislative matters related to utility programs.
- Conducts special studies and investigations, prepares recommendations, and provides written and oral testimony to the Commission.
- Reviews utility service quality statistics, including call center and meter reading performance.
- Position may require occasional in and out of state travel.
Qualifications - All you need for success
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and;
- 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- Professional experience in utility or regulatory environment preferred.
- Personal computer experience required, Microsoft Office experience preferred.
- Must have strong interpersonal, communication, active listening, and writing skills.
- Ability to work within a team setting or independently is required.
- Must have initiative and strong work ethic.
