Research Data Analyst - HDFCCC

UCSF Health's Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center conducts cancer research, clinical trials, and patient care. The Research Data Analyst gathers, cleans, analyzes, and interprets research data, prepares reports and visualizations, and supports the evaluation of data reporting products under direct supervision.

What you'll do:

• Under direct supervision, performs basic statistical and data analysis
• Assists with report preparation and data analysis for internal constituents
• Supports the evaluation and research of data reporting products
• Develops knowledge in areas of analysis, reporting, visualization, and related tools under direct supervision
• Collects research data and prepare for analysis and inclusion in reports
• Use visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau, JasperSoft, Power Bi and others
• Familiar with tools and ability to learn to use appropriate tools
• Data cleaning and review
• Assists with report preparation and/or analysis for internal constituents
• Assists with evaluation and research of data reporting products

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
• Acquiring knowledge of research function
• Acquiring ability to perform research analysis duties
• Acquiring statistical analysis, systems programming, and database design skills to perform research analysis duties
• Ability to effectively manage time and see assigned parts of projects through to completion on deadline
• Basic consultation and communication skills
