About this role
The technician will help maintain duckweed colonies and prepare them for and conduct experiments. This will include running pilot experiments to optimize conditions and help run main experiments and optimize protocols. They will also help collect data including physical measurements, photo analysis, flow cytometry, and genotyping.
Curating Data: The technician will help store data from all polyploidy projects in the required format.
Other: Help keep lab equipment and supplies clean. They may also train new lab members in certain techniques. They will also attend lab meetings.
Bachelor of Science in Biology, Botany, Environmental Sciences or related field.
Experience conducting research in a laboratory.
Experience working with aquatic plants is a bonus.
