A research scientist position in Hematology and Cancer Biology Research is available in the laboratory of Dr. Wei Du (https://profiles.dom.pitt.edu/hemaonc/faculty_info.aspx/Du7249) at the University of Pittsburgh UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. Projects are in the areas of molecular analysis of normal and abnormal hematopoiesis, stem cell biology & aging and DNA damage repair and are executed through multi-disciplinary collaborations. The Du lab is seeking competitive candidates who has a PhD and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Experience in hematology and cancer biology is highly desirable. Excellent skills in Flow cytometry, animal handling, immunofluorescence staining, and basic molecular biology are required.

Conducts independent scientific research projects from inception to presentation. Manages laboratory policies and coordinates project development in collaboration with other specialists.
