The research emphasizes alterations in chromatin structure and%26nbsp;DNA%26nbsp;repair pathways. Common research methodologies applied include fluorescence microscopy, protein expression analysis,%26nbsp;DNA%26nbsp;preparation and analyses, cell culture and cellular manipulation.%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cp class=%22MsoNormal%22 style=%22background-color:white;%22%3E%3Cspan style=%22color:#333333;font-family:%26quot;Arial%26quot;,sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt;%22%3E%3Cspan style=%22line-height:107%;mso-fareast-font-family:%26quot;Times New Roman%26quot;;%22%3EThe Research Technician should have training and a solid foundation in basic laboratory techniques and experience with techniques associated with the following specific areas: molecular biology; flow cytometry; Immunobiochemistry; and cell culture. The Research Technician will be capable of exercising independent judgment while participating in the planning of experiments and evaluating and interpreting results.%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/p%3E

Performs a variety of independent laboratory work and experiments such as determining experimental protocols and preparation of specimens and cultures. Prepares reports of findings subsequent to compilation and analyzation. Oversees specimen inventory. Develops documentation for publication; crafts manuscripts and grant proposals.
