About this role

Overview 

Baptist Health Sciences University's Respiratory Care program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). The university seeks to hire an Instructor (Masters Pending)/ Director of Clinical Education (Clinical Coordinator) for the Respiratory Care program at Baptist Health Sciences University. 

 

Responsibilities 

The person in this role will assist with administering the Respiratory Care program rules, regulations, and policies in compliance with current Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) Standards; assess the clinical competency of Respiratory Care students; cooperate with the program faculty in periodic review/assessment, and revision of clinical course materials as needed; and demonstrate knowledge of clinical education content for a bachelor’s degree respiratory care program. This position is under the administrative direction of the Academic Dean for the College of Health Professions and/or general direction of the Program Chair for the Respiratory Care program.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Holds, at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred) from an institution accredited by a federally recognized institutional accrediting agency in respiratory care or a related discipline appropriate for college teaching; hold a valid RRT credential and current state license; have a minimum of four (4) years’ experience as an RRT with at least two (2) years in clinical respiratory care; and have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience teaching either as an appointed faculty member in a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program or as a clinical instructor/ preceptor for students of such programs.
