Schedule:

Preferably 10-15 hours per week on weekdays between 10-4pm

Salary/Wage Range:

Hourly $30.00 to $40.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Start Date: Late Summer/Fall 2026

Responsibilities: 10+ hours a week to:

  • Provide companionship and engage individual in meaningful activities based on her interests 
  • Monitor her mental status, reporting any changes to her primary care partner and family
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
  • Communicate effectively with the individual, her care partner, and her family
  • Be available for flexible scheduling as needed

Qualifications:

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student (or recent graduate) in nursing, speech-language pathology/communication sciences and disorders, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, social work, or a related healthcare field preferred. Candidates with equivalent dementia caregiving experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Valid driver license and reliable transportation 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and follow directions 

Pay: $30–40/hour based on education, experience, and relevant training.

  • Undergraduate students: starting at $30/hour
  • Graduate students with relevant coursework/clinical experience: up to $35/hour
  • Registered nurses or candidates with significant dementia care experience: up to $40/hour
