Major Duties

 

Manages comprehensive retail inventory management program within MCCS SC Business Operations Division tmaximize sales and profitability of thbusiness units within the Division. Reportto the Business Operations Director. Executes and communicates Corporate and local programto manage on-hand integrity, inclusive of cycle counts, Retail InventorManagement Application (RIMA)May provide oversight for store replenishment team. Provides recommendationto store management on areas of opportunity and implementation of internal controls and loss prevention initiatives in tharea of inventory management. Assisthands-on with backroom operations, which may include loading and unloading of trucks or pallets to ensurmeeting of enterprise standards. 

Coordinates inventory review schedules with management to ensure inventory accuracy, creating exception reports for areas requiring corrective action. Functions as Cognos subject matter expert to identify replenishment issues, gaps, and opportunities to improve business. Provides oversight for execution and maintenance of planograms (POGs). Identifiepotential loss due to issues with product rotation and vendor credits. Ensures that corrective actions are implemented on aninventordiscrepancies noted. Maintaindirect liaisowith all managers and assiston inventory related problems. Monitors inventory databases in inventory management programs and provide pertinent reports tmanagers. Analyzes problem areas in inventormanagement and providenecessary recommendations. Ensures that internal controlare implemented in thtracking and disposaof retail assets.

 

Mentors, trains, and leads by example. Maintains the highest service levels communicating with all stakeholdersincluding customers, associates, and all levels of management.

Analyzes data using various software for key performance indicators, develops a thorough understanding of P&L statements, and prepares and presents associated reports.

Provides World Class Customer Service with aemphasion courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positivelin a friendly manner. Delivers Dress Blue experience to all customers every day. Strongly promotes the cultivation of MCX corporate culture. mission, core valueand promotes Marine Corps Community Services at the storlevel. Supports team­ centric initiatives to enhancteam member satisfaction. Actively supports established standards of the EEO prograand prevention of harassment. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, anany injury, occupational illness, and/opropertdamage resultinfrom workplace mishaps tthe immediate supervisor.

 

This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting of up to 45 lbs. with assistance may be required.  Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 
  • Three (3) years of practical experience showcasing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Business Accounting knowledge and intermediate level expertise in Excel or equivalent software program required.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret large amounts of data
