The Staten Island Workforce1 Career Center is partnering with Burlington Stores to find qualified candidates for a Retail Stock Associate in Staten Island, New York. The Retail Stock Associate is responsible for receiving, processing, sorting, ticketing, organizing, and moving merchandise throughout the store. The role supports daily store operations by maintaining an organized stockroom and ensuring merchandise is stocked, displayed, and presented accurately and efficiently. The Retail Stock Associate works in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and follows directions from management while working effectively with customers and coworkers.
This position is located in Staten Island, New York.
- Receive and unload incoming merchandise.
- Move shipments from the receiving area to the stockroom.
- Sort, ticket, tag, and process merchandise.
- Organize and maintain the stockroom.
- Move merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor.
- Stock and arrange new merchandise neatly on the sales floor.
- Keep merchandise organized and easy for customers to find.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- No prior work experience required.
- Retail, stocking, warehouse, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be available to work Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM-6:00 PM; holiday hours may vary.
- Must have reliable attendance and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time and frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and stretch.
- Must be able to lift and carry merchandise, boxes, and other items and push and pull carts, racks, and merchandise.
- Must be able to climb ladders or step stools and repeatedly lift, sort, unpack, ticket, and stock merchandise.
- Should demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills and be friendly, approachable, confident, professional, and comfortable engaging with customers.
