What You Will Be Doing

Under general direction from the Retirement and Benefits Specialist 3 (Processing Manager) & Sr. Benefits Specialist II, the Retirement and Benefits Specialist 2 (Benefit Analyst independently provides:

  • Retirement file certification
  • Counseling on all Public Employee's Retirement Plans via in-person and web base presentations
  • Providing Seminars for members and employers for all Public Employees' Retirement Plans via in-person and web-based presentations
  • Self-Education on State of Alaska (SOA) Statues and Regulation for all SOA Retirement Plans and IRS/IRC that provide for the governance of SOA Retirement Plans
  • Work directly with Employers and Members of designated Regional Service area(s)

This position is in Juneau – State Office Bldg. Ideal applicants will be customer service oriented and have the ability to prioritize responsibilities to best suit the needs of the division.
