About this role

Northpoint Recovery is a behavioral healthcare treatment platform providing substance use disorder and mental healthcare treatment. The Junior Business Systems Analyst supports the analysis, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, reporting, and optimization of Revenue Cycle Management systems and workflows while collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What you'll do:

  • Assist with reviewing RCM processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and accuracy
  • Support the Senior Systems Analyst with system updates, configuration requests, enhancements, and workflow changes
  • Assist with testing system changes, enhancements, and new functionality, including documenting test results and identified issues
  • Perform data validation and assist with reviewing reports to identify discrepancies or workflow-related issues
  • Support application and system troubleshooting by documenting issues and escalating more complex technical matters to the Senior Systems Analyst
  • Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), quality assurance, and peer review activities
  • Maintain system documentation, workflow documentation, testing records, and process materials
  • Assist with developing and updating standard operating procedures and user guides
  • Support system implementation and enhancement projects through planning, testing, documentation, training preparation, and follow-up activities
  • Work with system owners and super-users to gather information regarding system issues, workflow concerns, and business requirements
  • Assist with tracking system requests, issues, changes, and outstanding action items through completion
  • Provide basic application support to assigned user departments and escalate complex issues appropriately

  • Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability and willingness to learn healthcare systems and Revenue Cycle Management processes
  • Ability to analyze information and identify discrepancies or process gaps
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team
  • Must be self-motivated, organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
  • Hybrid and onsite flexibility
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
