Provide accurate and professional telephone assistance to family member and members of the public regarding incarcerated individuals and TDCJ programs and procedures; research and interpret information from multiple computer systems and reference materials; protect confidential information; document telephone contacts; resolve routine inquiries; appropriately refer complex or sensitive matter; and remain professional, patient, and composed with assisting difficult, upset, or demanding callers while providing accurate and helpful information.

You have strong computer and telephone skills, communicate clearly and professionally, and are comfortable working with the public in a fast-paced environment. You are able to obtain, verify, and accurately analyze information; interpret and follow policies, procedures, and instructions; and appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information. You should be able to manage multiple telephone calls and competing priorities, use sound judgment and problem-solving skills to determine the appropriate disposition of calls, and work courteously and effectively with the public, employees, and other agencies.
