About this role

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in a technical project management or a customer-facing role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or Applied Science, or a related field.
  • 8 years of experience managing projects and working with analytics, software coding, or customer-side web technologies.
  • 5 years of experience in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), risk assessment, internal audit, or compliance management.
  • Experience managing first line engagement with GRC platforms.
  • Deep understanding of control mapping and risk framework methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify systemic control gaps within complex operational chains.

About the job

As a part of the gTech Risk, you will help protect Google and its users by identifying and implementing controls for significant risks, and to ensure gTech's security and agility, the team analyzes gTech business processes to find control gaps, collaborates with stakeholders to resolve these gaps, and provides risk expertise to engineer innovative solutions.

As the Risk Assessment and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Lead, you will manage our execution against the Google frameworks and standards that dictate how gTech understands, assesses and manages its most impactful risks.

You will lead the standardization of our minimum control artifacts and will distill complex operational, security, regulatory and business resilience obligations and map them directly to gTech processes, identifying control gaps before they manifest as incidents. You support gTech in its annual risk assessment and lead the engagement with a second line of defense control functions.Google creates products and services that make the world a better place, and gTech’s role is to help bring them to life. US: $140000 - $204000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Manage Google risk assessment frameworks and establish the minimum control standards required for all gTech product and workflow launches.
  • Lead the consolidation and migration of gTech risk data into the enterprise platform, establishing a resilient source of truth for gTech’s risk data.
  • Map complex risk obligations across the gTech’s processes.
  • Conduct analyses and policy obligation mapping to ensure clear understanding of operational risks and identify risks to continuity for critical processes.
  • Perform systemic control mapping and gap identification, transitioning the organization from anecdotal assessments to standardized, evidence based compliance by design.
