About this role
The Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) collaborates with the surgeon and the healthcare team in performing a safe operation with optimal outcomes for the patient. This individual renders direct patient care as part of the perioperative role assisting the surgeon in the surgical treatment of the patient. Performs duties within approved standardized procedures and under direct supervision.

Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Successful completion of didactics of university based course in first assisting.
- Coursework/Training: Successful completion of endoscopic vein artery harvesting course.
- Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 3 years as an RN in the Operating Room.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- 2 years of RNFA experience.
- Surgery experience with Endoscopic/open vein/artery harvesting.
