Job Description
The Urology Faculty Practice is a high-volume specialty clinic that focuses on a variety of urological diagnoses. The Urology Clinic treats adults with a wide range urinary tract conditions. These include common problems such as kidney and bladder stones, urinary tract infections, and urinary incontinence, and less common ones, such as obstructions of the urinary tract and painful bladder syndromes. In men, we provide treatment for benign conditions of the prostate gland, erectile dysfunction and male infertility. Our team is also nationally known for expert repair of traumatic injuries to the genitals and urinary tract.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: - Minimum of two years full-time RN experience - Recent, within last two (2) years, surgical nursing experience in an surgical outpatient/ambulatory setting - 2 years of ambulatory care experience - Knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position. - Recent experience in the use of electronic medical record documentation, preferrable EPIC - This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing - Experience and fluency in working with computers - Experience with Urological patient population in inpatient and/or outpatient setting - Knowledge of UCSF and APEX - Proficiency in handling sterile equipment - Knowledge of sterile processing Licenses/Certifications: - Current licensure as an RN by the California Board of Registered Nursing. - Current American Heart Association BLS certification
