Position Duties

This position leads programs that measure pavement conditions, support roadway data systems, and ensure quality information for statewide transportation decisions. As a Roadway Programs Manager 2, you will perform the following duties:

  • Program Leadership: Manage operations across pavement testing, Roadway Management System (RMS) data support, and quality control areas
  • Data Oversight: Guide data collection, entry, maintenance, and quality assurance processes
  • Staff Direction: Lead professional and technical staff, as well as set job priorities and performance standards
  • Reporting Management: Prepare and distribute required statewide reports and ensure accurate documentation
  • System Administration: Coordinate RMS activities, schedule work group meetings, and approve programming tasks
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor data accuracy, oversee quality control and assurance programs, as well as identify and correct data issues

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Minimum Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience as a Roadway Programs Manger 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Three years of professional or managerial experience in the analysis, development, and implementation of methods and techniques in a roadway maintenance management system including one year in a supervisory capacity and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or in a civil engineering related discipline; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
