Up to 19 HrsJob Description Summary
The SafeRide Navigator supports the daily operations of the SafeRide program by assisting drivers, communicating with passengers, and helping ensure safe and efficient transportation services for the Chapman University community during evening hours.
Responsibilities
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles as needed.
- Provide directions and navigation support to SafeRide drivers.
- Answer phones, perform basic data entry, and communicate with SafeRide staff via two-way radio.
- Deliver excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Assist with dispatch and operational support activities.
- Maintain punctual attendance and work assigned evening shifts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to operate a tablet and other basic technology.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to follow directions and learn new processes.
- Ability and willingness to work evening and late-night hours.
- Reliable, professional, and dependable.
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Chapman University and SafeRide service boundaries.
- Previous customer service or office support experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Friendly and professional demeanor.
