Responsibilities
What you will do
- Monitors the safety of the patient while sitting with safety companion patients and Baker Act patients.
- Assists with maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly patient environment.
- Assists the patient with activities of daily living as directed by the nurse.
- Maintains on going communication with the nurse assigned to the patient.
- Maintains current knowledge/certification.
- Float throughout Baptist Heath Care System in one or more areas of practice as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Licenses and Certifications
- BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) American Heart Association within 90 Days Required
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately
- Ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred
