About this role
The Safety Professional is responsible for building, leading, and managing the on-site safety program to prevent workplace injuries and ensure compliance with all safety regulations. This role partners with the onsite manager, on site supervisors, associates, and client leadership to build a culture of safety through training, auditing, incident investigation, and continuous process improvement. Acting as a trusted advisor and liaison, the Safety Professional drives effective safety practices, supports injury management and return-to-work processes, and ensures a safe, compliant, and productive work environment.[PM1.1]

By building a proactive, safety-first culture, leveraging data-driven insights, and ensuring practical, scalable safety programs, this role protects people, strengthens operations, and delivers measurable results for both Manpower and the client while enhancing employee experience and building trusted partnerships.
Your Typical Day and Other Key Details* Safety Feedback: Addresses any safety concerns with talent, ensuring a feedback loop that promotes safety and operational excellence. This regular interaction ensures that talent stays engaged and aware of expectations. Issues such as safety concerns or violations are discussed in a private location, documented, and addressed to ensure continuous improvement and a safe working environment.
Safety Reporting:
Reviews any safety incidents or near-misses that occurred during the day, documenting them and collaborating with the On-Site Manager/ Supervisors and Client to address any hazards. This ensures that all safety concerns are resolved, and preventive measures are in place moving forward.
Safety Program:
Ensure full compliance with OSHA and applicable regulatory requirements, including maintaining audit-ready documentation and supporting regulatory inspections. Oversee day-to-day execution of safety programs by conducting audits, monitoring compliance, addressing gaps, and partnering with operations to reinforce safe work practices. Develop, implement, and continuously enhance site-specific safety programs based on facility operations, equipment, machinery, and identified workplace hazards. Regularly review and update safety policies, procedures, and training materials, particularly following safety incidents, infractions, near misses, or operational changes to ensure ongoing effectiveness and compliance. Conduct routine warehouse floor observations to assess associate adherence to safe work practices, provide real-time coaching and feedback, identify at-risk behaviors, and promote a proactive culture of safety and accountability.
New Hire Safety Training:
Lead and deliver comprehensive new hire safety orientations and hands-on training, ensuring associates understand critical policies, safe work practices, and site-specific hazards before starting work. Partner with supervisors/ On Site Manager to align training with job requirements, track and verify effectiveness through assessments and observation, and continuously enhance programs using feedback, data insights, and incident learnings while maintaining accurate compliance records.
Communication:
Will communicate with a variety of individuals, stakeholders, peers, and associates daily. This individual will demonstrate strong communication skills, effectively conveying information both verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences. Builds trust through clear, concise messaging and active listening, ensuring alignment across teams and stakeholders.
Leadership Focus: Serve as the designated site leadership representative in the absence of the Site Manager, ensuring continuity of operations, safety oversight, and adherence to established policies and procedures. Provide guidance to site personnel, address operational concerns, and escalate critical issues as appropriate to support uninterrupted business operations.
Requires on-site presence at the client location.
Required
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Warehousing, Production, and/or Manufacturing Environments[PM2.1]
• Technical: Digital Literacy desktop (MS Suite, SharePoint, Outlook, Workforce Management Systems) applications
• Certifications: OSHA30 Certification (Must Obtain, company will provide access to class)
Nice to Have
• Education: Bachelor’s degree (Safety)[PM3.1]
• Experience: Previous experience in Safety focus roles in staffing/workforce industry, prior Supervisory or Team Lead experience
