The Staten Island Workforce1 Career Center is partnering with Burlington to find qualified candidates for a Sales Associate position in Staten Island, NY. Burlington, formerly known as Burlington Coat Factory, is an American national off-price department store retailer with stores across the United States and Puerto Rico. Burlington is committed to providing customers with world-class service, and Sales Associates play an important role in representing the brand and supporting a positive shopping experience.
Sales Associates serve as ambassadors of the Burlington brand and are responsible for providing assistance throughout the customer’s shopping experience. They greet customers, help locate merchandise, and maintain a neat, organized, and clean sales floor. Sales Associates also support merchandising, register operations, housekeeping, and day-to-day store operations. The role provides an opportunity to work directly with customers while supporting the overall appearance and operations of the store.
This position is located in Staten Island, NY.
- Greet customers and provide assistance throughout their shopping experience.
- Help customers locate merchandise as needed.
- Maintain a neat, organized, and clean sales floor.
- Assist with floor moves, merchandising, and display maintenance.
- Support housekeeping and store appearance standards.
- Assist with register operations and bagging merchandise.
- Support day-to-day store operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
- Must have excellent customer service skills and be customer service oriented.
- Must enjoy working with people.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand, reach, lift, and bend throughout the shift.
- Must be willing to work in various store departments as assigned.
