ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Follow all company policies and procedures to help support the production of safe, quality and legal products.
2. Work independently and in a team atmosphere to clean the facility area and production equipment.
3. Disassemble, thoroughly clean, sanitize using cleaners and solvents, and reassemble pieces of equipment in the production area as the daily schedule demands.
4. Document assigned cleaning and sanitation duties in a timely and professional manner.
5. Understand and follow chemical use and safety instructions.
6. Assist with all cleaning and testing procedures (Listeria, ATP, Allergens, etc.)
7. Train current and new team members on various processes and procedures.
8. Assist in pest control in the plant, grounds, and outbuildings.
9. Assist other areas of sanitation as assigned.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, CHARACTERISTICS

1. Knowledge of HACCP and GMP procedures.
2. Must possess problem-solving skills.
3. Proficiency in the English language (understanding, speaking, and reading).
4. Basic math knowledge including addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
5. Ability to communicate professionally and clearly with others.
6. Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
7. Ability to disassemble and reassemble various types of mechanical equipment.
8. Ability to work safely at all times by following all proper ergonomic and safety practices.
9. Ability to utilize required technology such as computers, iPads, and other electronic devices.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Ability to lift 15 to 30 pounds continuously and occasionally lift up to 52 pounds.
2. Ability to stand on feet for entire work shift
3. Ability to work in various environments that include areas of intense cold, heat, and/or moisture.
4. Bending, stooping, walking, reaching, grasping, carrying, repetitive motions, and visual skills are required on a constant basis.
5. Ability to work at ground level, in confined spaces, and at extreme heights by utilizing scissor lifts and ladders.

Summary

Sanitarian I assists in the cleaning and sanitizing of various equipment of the production facility to company standards. They assist in maintaining Baker Boy facilities by monitoring pest control systems.
