The Seasonal Stores Hourly Recruiter generates applicant traffic, builds community talent pipelines, promotes Macy’s as an employer of choice, and collaborates with Talent Acquisition partners and store leadership to support seasonal hiring.

What you'll do:

• Every day starts with building connections and creating opportunities. A Seasonal Hourly Recruiting Champion begins each day energized and ready to represent Macy’s in the community, engaging with potential candidates and sharing what makes Macy’s a great place to work
• They focus on finding great talent wherever it may be. Whether canvassing local communities, attending job fairs and seasonal events, or partnering with schools, workforce centers, churches, and community organizations, they actively generate applicant interest and build awareness of employment opportunities with Macy’s
• They know relationships are the key to successful recruiting. They cultivate connections with candidates, community partners, local colleagues, and organizations to identify new talent pipelines, maintain a strong network, and create meaningful employment opportunities
• They embrace creativity and innovation in how they recruit. By leveraging social media platforms, community resources, local events, and market opportunities, they share Macy’s hiring message, promote open positions, and connect with candidates where they are
• They act with urgency and accountability. They follow up quickly with prospective candidates, track recruiting activities and results, manage leads within the applicant tracking system, and ensure every candidate receives a positive and engaging experience

What they're looking for:

• Ability to clearly and professionally engage with candidates and team members both verbally and in writing
• Commitment to delivering a positive candidate experience through genuine hospitality and respectful interactions
• Proficiency in conducting structured interviews, assessing candidate qualifications, and making objective hiring recommendations
• Efficiently manage interview schedules, candidate information, and follow-up tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ensure accuracy in documenting candidate responses and maintaining compliance with hiring policies
• Work effectively with hiring managers, supervisors, and other stakeholders to meet hiring goals
• Comfortable using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), video/audio interview platforms, and other recruitment tools
• Ability to adjust to shifting priorities and processes during peak hiring periods
• Maintain candidate and company information with discretion and professionalism
