Security Engineer - Operational Technology

Bluegrass Stream is hiring a Security Engineer - Operational Technology to help ensure the cybersecurity of manufacturing environments. The role develops and maintains security standards and controls, conducts risk assessments and audits, manages access controls and training, and supports secure equipment integration into operational networks.

What you'll do:

• The Cyber Prevention Engineer in Operational Technology Security is responsible for ensuring the cybersecurity of manufacturing environments
• They develop, implement, and maintain standards, procedures, and controls to prevent cyber incidents across hardware, firmware, software, and enterprise systems
• Key duties include establishing standards for new equipment, conducting risk assessments, creating training materials, managing policies and auditing, and implementing access controls
• They also research industry benchmarks to recommend improvements and support the integration of secure equipment into operational networks

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Networking, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• 0-2 years of experience with machine control networks or industrial control systems (ICS), with a basic understanding of communication networks and cybersecurity fundamentals
• Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity, strong communication skills, and business acumen in technical environments
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and continuous improvement mindset
