High school diploma/GED required; 2 years armed law enforcement experience (or 4 years active military) required; pass background check and MMPI-2; must qualify on firearms marksmanship and physical fitness; valid NJ handgun permit and Armed SORA; BLS within 100 days; IAHSS basic security training within 1 year.
