As a Security Officer Morning Retail Driver Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points and alarms, and respond to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at commercial real estate locations.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, parking areas, loading docks, common areas, and property perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
  • Support a professional, welcoming environment by providing directions, answering questions, and communicating observed security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
