As a Security Officer Visitor Management Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, and help deter security-related incidents while delivering service with integrity. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, managing visitor and contractor entry, maintaining access records, and reporting access-related concerns according to site policies.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, perimeter locations, and parking areas to help identify and report unusual activity, unsecured conditions, or policy violations.
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience is required.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
