Security Operations Technician Intern

Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Companies provides insurance services and is seeking a Security Operations Technician Intern in its Information Systems department. The intern will learn and assist with security operations across job scheduling, access management, mainframe systems, code migration, testing, software support, incident resolution, and operational solutions.

What you'll do:

• Learn to effectively use software tools to accomplish assigned tasks
• Learn to effectively use the functionality of PC, Mainframe and Web applications and tools to perform job responsibilities
• Assist in researching and resolving problems with applicable software
• Assist in researching, evaluating, developing and deploying operational solutions to meet business needs
• Assist in providing training to end users, when appropriate
• Assist in communicating with vendors and users for problem resolution, as needed
• Assist in creating and estimating task lists
• Update and resolve Helpdesk incidents/requests per established procedures
• Escalate problems to appropriate personnel, as needed
• Report status on assigned tasks
• Other duties as assigned

• Occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 30 lbs. without assistance
