Security Systems Design Intern

Schneider Electric is seeking a Security Systems Design Intern to join its technical project delivery team. The intern will gain hands-on experience designing physical security and IT systems, creating technical drawing packages, updating as-built documentation, and supporting the deployment of security systems for new construction projects.

What you'll do:

• Gain hands-on experience in the physical security industry, associated technologies, engineering design processes, and project delivery methodologies
• Create and maintain detailed hardware design drawing packages using Autodesk AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio
• Interpret redline markups and field documentation to accurately update engineering as-built drawings and other technical project documentation
• Collaborate with project execution teams and experienced engineers to support the design and deployment of security systems for new construction projects
• Strengthen technical, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills through participation in real-world engineering projects

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Programming knowledge/skills required
• Knowledge of electrical principles
• Some hands-on experience with basic electrical circuits and/or various digital systems
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship, both currently and moving forward
