Interviews are anticipated to be conducted within two weeks of closing date.

Due to the available budget allocated for this position, the hiring rate will not exceed $26.37 per hour.

Why does the job exist?

 
This position is scheduled Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM. Provides direct support to Probation and Parole Division (PPD) Director and Deputy Director. Maintains calendars and schedules trainings. Maintains confidential personnel records, inventory controls, assists with purchasing requests and facility training logs. Keeps record of vehicle fleet and any related issues such as maintenance records and repairs requests. Receive and disseminate correspondence as required, assists with archive files and recording keeping of various daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reports. Schedules interviews and trains new support staff.

Ideal Candidate

 
Experience in the following:
*   Inventory control
*   Purchasing
*   Records keeping
*   Maintaining confidential records/information
*   Customer service and serving client needs

Minimum Qualification

 
High School diploma or equivalent and two (2) years work experience in office administration. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required experience.

Employment Requirements

 
This position is designed safety sensitive. Employment is subject to pre-employment and random testing in accordance with all terms and conditions of Federal and State law, rules and regulations in relation to alcohol and/or drug testing. Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Employment is subject to a pre-employment background investigation and is conditional pending results.

Working Conditions

 
Work is performed in an office setting within a corrections environment, which includes daily contact with inmates. Willingness to work in a correctional environment, may be required to work odd hours, overtime, holidays, and weekends.
