About this role
Job Description
Intel is transforming to meet the demands of a rapidly changing world. We design and deliver industryleading technology that powers data centers, enables AI, and drives the future of computing. Join a team building the software and platforms developers use to deliver performance at scale.
The Senior AI Developer Advocate for rack scale serves as the primary owner of the reference applications and Day0 enablement that prove Intel's rackscale AI platforms.
This role builds demos, blueprints, and workshop repositories across Kubernetes, multinode serving, including vLLM, SGLang, and llmd, and AIoptimized fabric. The role treats every reference application as a product. Each one is forkable, pinned and reproducible, deployed and tested from a clean cluster, and documented so an enterprise evaluator can run it without help.
The role leads flagship workshops, meets developers where they already work at events and in upstream repositories, and translates rackscale reference designs into artifacts evaluators can run themselves. Strong hands on engineering across Kubernetes and distributed inference, credibility in upstream communities, and the ability to teach and present to developers live are essential.
Responsibilities:
• Own the rackscale reference applications and Day0 enablement for the AI software stack on data center platforms, with a focus on Crescent Island.
• Build demos, blueprints, and workshop repositories that developers and enterprise evaluators can fork and run at rack scale.
• Build on Kubernetes, multinode serving, including vLLM, SGLang, and llmd, and AIoptimized fabric.
• Translate rackscale reference designs into runnable artifacts, so evaluators reproduce the results themselves instead of taking them on faith.
• Deploy and test reference applications from a clean cluster in CI so they come up on a first attempt and stay reproducible as libraries, models, and topologies change.
• Deliver Day0 enablement for new platforms so developers can start on the day the hardware is available.
• Lead flagship workshops, hackathons, and livecoding sessions at developer events and customer sites.
• Engage upstream in the repositories the reference applications depend on, contributing fixes and enablement for Intel rack scale.
• Convert what developers and evaluators hit into fixes in the reference applications, the documentation, and the product.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong hands on experience running Kubernetes in production, including accelerator scheduling, networking, and multinode workload deployment.
• Experience with multinode and distributed inference serving, such as vLLM, SGLang, or llmd.
• Working knowledge of AI optimized fabric and rackscale topologies, including interconnect behavior and collective communication.
• Track record of publishing reference applications or samples that other developers run, with visible open source contributions preferred.
• Prior experience in Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, or a similar role, including leading workshops or livecoding sessions for developer audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Excellent written and verbal communication with technical audiences, including enterprise evaluators.
• Ability to translate developer and evaluator feedback into reference applications, documentation, and product improvements.
• Experience turning reference designs or reference architectures into reproducible artifacts that others deploy successfully.
• Strong hands on Python engineering with the AI software stack.
