Overview The Senior Analysts form the foundation of the Analytics team. They pull and arrange data from a multitude of sources to feed business-improving insights, then build thoughtful presentations and reports that bring the story home to our clients. They work closely with their Associate Director to learn the most efficient and effective ways of wrangling with data as they learn to become full-fledged story tellers. We don’t all look the same, and we don’t expect you to, either. But a successful Analyst should share our passion for emerging tech and media, bring a data-driven approach to decision-making, determine a point of view and share it in a positive way, gear up for a challenge, and always crave to learn more and improve. Familiarity with media analytics helps, especially digital media, but isn’t necessarily a requirement. Prior professional experience is highly desired. Responsibilities Collect data from various 3rd -party ad servers, like Google Campaign Manager and others, to feed a centralized database Pull digital media performance data (e.g., programmatic and social) from a centralized database utilizing SQL Clean and analyze the data to derive actionable insights for media performance reports Write clear concise PowerPoint presentations summarizing data insights including their outcomes and implications in a straight-forward and actionable way Cross-functional team coordination and communication (Advertising Operations, Media Strategy and Investment, Creative Partners, etc.) Manage and use our proprietary business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Datorama, Looker) Qualifications B.A. or B.S., preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Social Sciences, Business Analytics, Marketing/Advertising or related field 2+ years of experience working with large data sets or conducting quantitative analysis Advanced Excel (pivot tables, index/match, string parsing formulas) Experience working with relational databases, SQL Ability to derive insight from data and develop data stories Ability to communicate complex ideas to internal clients Ability to respond to feedback from internal stakeholders Demonstrated strong project management skills Attention to detail, proactivity, and dependability Desired Experience: Agency experience highly preferred Knowledge of digital media, marketing/advertising industries Knowledge of digital media metrics (Impressions, Clicks, CTR, CPM, etc.) Experience in managing or analyzing online advertising media channels, especially Display, Video, Programmatic, and Social Familiarity with ad-servers (e.g., Google Campaign Manager, DSPs, Social platforms) Experience with third-party research partners such as Nielsen, ComScore, Millward Brown Digital, GfK, or Dynata Experience in BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Datorama, Looker) Knowledge of basic statistics (descriptive, linear regression) Additional information Our Publicis Groupe motto “Viva La Différence” means we’re better together, and we believe that our differences make us stronger. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
