Responsibilities
- Apply and extend our brand identity across product features, flows, and user journeys, turning brand principles into tangible experiences.
- Own the brand expression of the surfaces you work on, from visual language through tone and narrative detail.
- Partner with brand, product, and engineering to carry brand principles from design system into shipped implementation without losing fidelity.
- Deliver high-craft brand experiences in AI applications, with attention to narrative, quality, and positive societal impact.
- Contribute to and extend the design system so it expresses the brand, holds up across products and platforms, and is efficient for engineering to implement.
- Help define and articulate the product's visual and verbal style within your area, partnering with marketing, engineering, UX, and research to maintain consistency.
- Communicate clearly across teams, managing dependencies, schedules, and design integrity from concept through implementation.
- Mentor designers and model a high standard for craft and inclusivity.
- Turn brand and product goals into concrete design directions with measurable outcomes.
- Contribute to a culture of experimentation, feedback, and continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 4+ years experience working in product or service design
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 5+ years experience working in product or service design
- OR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems).
- A portfolio showing 3+ years of brand work applied in product contexts — identity systems alongside evidence of how those systems held up on real product surfaces
- Demonstrated ability to connect brand principles to design system architecture and engineering implementation with fidelity and scalability
- Experience contributing to creative direction for complex, cross-platform products and building alignment across multifunctional teams
- High level of craft in visual and experiential design, with the ability to translate brand narratives into intuitive digital experiences
- Comfort using qualitative and quantitative insight to refine and validate brand expression in product
- Desire or experience collaborating with engineering teams to ensure brand is reflected accurately in implementation
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Contributes to a positive, inclusive team culture that bridges brand and product thinking
Product Design IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
