OVERVIEW:
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Lead Brand Strategy & Market Positioning
Manage and evolve DMN's brand strategy, positioning, value proposition, messaging architecture, and market narrative
Develop and maintain the core vision, strategic storyline, and external voice for DMN, ensuring alignment with both DMN priorities and the broader DICK'S Sporting Goods brand
Partner with Creative teams to establish and govern the visual identity, tone, presentation standards, and storytelling approach for all market-facing materials
Oversee the development of evergreen and campaign-based marketing assets, including the DMN website, microsite content, sizzle reels, sales collateral, case studies, thought leadership, and executive presentations
Own the integrated content strategy and editorial calendar across sales enablement and external marketing channels
Develop strategies that expand awareness, consideration, and adoption of DMN among both endemic and non-endemic advertisers and agency partners
Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging market opportunities to continuously refine positioning and messaging
Drive Go-to-Market Strategy, Industry Engagement & External Communications
Lead integrated go-to-market planning for new products, capabilities, partnerships, measurement solutions, and strategic initiatives
Partner with Product, Sales, Analytics, and Operations teams to ensure coordinated launch execution and market readiness
Develop launch strategies, activation plans, and sales enablement resources that support commercial adoption and revenue growth
Own planning and execution for industry events, sponsorships, conferences, speaking opportunities, customer activations, and partner engagement programs
Identify and activate key industry and seasonal marketing moments that increase awareness, engagement, and consideration among advertisers, agencies, and partners
Develop and manage DMN's newsletter strategy, editorial calendar, distribution, and performance measurement
Partner with Corporate Communications and Investor Relations teams to support earnings-related narratives, strategic announcements, industry milestones, and external communications opportunities
Collaborate with Communications and Public Relations teams to develop integrated paid, owned, earned, and social communication strategies that strengthen DMN's market presence
Manage relationships with external agencies, marketing partners, and vendors supporting communications, events, and activations
Build Organizational Enablement, Communications & Budget Management
Establish and manage internal go-to-market processes, launch frameworks, and governance models
Develop internal communications plans that improve awareness, alignment, and adoption of DMN capabilities across the enterprise
Lead educational sessions, roadshows, town halls, and training opportunities that strengthen internal understanding of DMN's value proposition and capabilities
Build advocacy across key internal stakeholder groups, including Merchandising, Marketing, eCommerce, and Vendor Management teams
Partner closely with Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Enterprise Events, and Executive Leadership teams to ensure consistency across strategies and messaging
Develop reporting frameworks and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of brand, communications, events, content, and go-to-market initiatives
Manage annual marketing, event, activation, and communications budgets, ensuring investments align with strategic priorities and business objectives
Evaluate sponsorships, events, agency relationships, and marketing programs to maximize business impact and return on investment
Developing Talent and Teammate Engagement
Build effective teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals by establishing common objectives and a shared mindset
Manage execution responsibilities and workload of direct reports to achieve department deliverables on time and with quality
Develop talent through coaching, feedback, mentorship, exposure, and stretch assignments that support individual career growth and organizational priorities
Create development opportunities that strengthen capabilities across brand strategy, communications, go-to-market planning, and industry engagement
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
Partner with department leadership to establish strategic staffing and succession plans and successfully deliver on proposed staffing objectives
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising
7 - 10 years of experience
Retail Media Network experience preferred
Product Marketing or Go-to-Market experience preferred
Strategic Communications experience preferred
Event Planning preferred
Advanced experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools
Experience with Salesforce and CRM platforms
Experience with marketing automation and communication platforms
Strong Leadership and effective communication skills
Familiarity with Media, Advertising preferred
Experience in Brand Marketing, Go-to-market strategy, Product Marketing, or Digital Marketing
Experience developing positioning, messaging and integrated launch strategies for B2B media, tech or retail organizations
Strong storytelling and presentation development capabilities
Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution
