Senior Credit Analyst – High Yield Healthcare

Job Title: Senior Credit Analyst – High Yield Healthcare (7+ Years Experience)

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Credit Analyst with a proven track record in idea generation

(both long and short) within the high yield bond market, focused on the healthcare sector. You will join a dynamic 4-person trading

team led by a Senior Portfolio Manager at a leading multi-strategy hedge fund operating within a multi-PM environment. As a senior team member, you will play a critical role in driving portfolio revenue through high-conviction investment ideas.

Key Responsibilities:

- Generate and pitch differentiated long and short high yield bond ideas in the healthcare sector

- Lead deep-dive fundamental credit research, due diligence, and financial modeling for assigned coverage universe

- Independently form and articulate investment theses, key risks, and catalysts; actively debate positions with the team

- Monitor portfolio positions and developing credit situations; proactively identify risks and recommend trading actions

- Stay abreast of regulatory, industry, and macro trends impacting healthcare credits

- Collaborate closely with the Senior PM and traders in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment

- Engage with management teams, sell-side and buy-side analysts, and other market participants to enhance research insights

- Contribute to team knowledge sharing, process improvement, and the continuous refinement of analytics frameworks

- Take ownership of revenue production through strong idea origination and conviction in risk-taking

Qualifications:

- Minimum 7 years of direct high yield credit research experience, with significant time spent covering healthcare

- Demonstrated success generating profitable investment ideas (both long and short), with a clear, repeatable process

- Deep understanding of financial statements, valuation, capital structures, legal documentation, and bond covenants

- Strong modeling, analytical, and critical thinking skills; high attention to detail

- Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to distill complex topics into clear investment cases

- Team-first mentality and strong sense of accountability in a collaborative, performance-driven culture

- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/CFA or other relevant credentials strongly preferred
