NAOP is a critical enterprise application used by new and existing customers across our affiliate banks to open and manage a wide range of financial products, including Checking, Savings, Credit Cards, and Loans.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn this role, you will lead the design, development, modernization, and support of key components within the NAOP ecosystem. You will work closely with Solution Architects, Developers, Product Owners, QA engineers, DevOps teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that directly impact customer experience and business growth.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with strong Java expertise, experience building cloud-ready applications, and a passion for mentoring team members while driving engineering excellence.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cstrong%3EKey Responsibilities%3C/strong%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cul%3E%3Cli%3EDesign, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise-scale applications supporting the NAOP platform. Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions for new features and platform modernization initiatives.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EDevelop secure, scalable, and highly available Java-based applications, APIs, and integrations. Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Infrastructure, and Business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EParticipate in Agile/SAFe ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, design reviews, and retrospectives. Perform code reviews and promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and secure software development principles.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3ETroubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventative solutions.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EDesign, optimize, and maintain Oracle database schemas, queries, stored procedures, and data integrations.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3ESupport CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using modern DevOps practices. Develop and maintain SOAP/RESTful APIs and microservices deployed on Kubernetes or containerized platforms.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3ECollaborate with cross-functional teams to improve application performance, reliability, observability, and security.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EMentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical guidance across the team. Create and maintain system documentation, technical designs, and operational procedures.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EParticipate in application modernization efforts, including Java upgrades and cloud-native transformation initiatives.%3C/li%3E%3C/ul%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cstrong%3ERequired Qualifications%3C/strong%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cul%3E%3Cli%3E8+ years of professional software development experience with Java-based enterprise applications.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EStrong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, SOAP/RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and modern software design patterns.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EHands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Oracle or other relational database platforms.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EExperience developing and supporting applications in Linux environments. Strong understanding of secure software development practices and application security concepts.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EExperience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, source control management, and automated testing frameworks.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EExperience working with container technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes. Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and cloud-native application design principles.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EExperience integrating with enterprise services such as IAM, SSO, authentication and authorization frameworks.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EAbility to independently drive complex technical solutions while collaborating effectively across teams. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.%3C/li%3E%3C/ul%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cstrong%3EPreferred Qualifications%3C/strong%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cul%3E%3Cli%3EExperience with Java 17, Java 21, or newer LTS versions and integration with Orchestration layers.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EExperience with Azure, GCP, or other cloud platforms.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EExperience with Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana or application monitoring and observability tools.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EExperience within banking, financial services, lending, or digital account opening platforms. Prior experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring developers, or serving as a technical lead.%3C/li%3E%3C/ul%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cstrong%3E%26nbsp;%3C/strong%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cstrong%3EEducation%3C/strong%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMasters or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
