Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 9 years of experience in marketing working across one or more marketing fields (i.e. growth, product marketing, brand marketing, social).
  • Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading large-scale, high-traffic industry trade show presences (e.g., 1,000+ sq ft booths) within the B2B technology space.
  • Experience in an event management or marketing operations role focused on bridging high-level strategy with flawless execution across complex programs.
  • Experience managing multi-million dollar budgets, multi-quarter planning cycles, and performing cross-functional ROI analysis to justify event spend.
  • Ability to design, implement, and scale operational playbooks and repeatable processes for varied industry portfolios.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time internationally and domestically.
  • Drive change and cross-functional alignment with vertical and sales leadership as the operational anchor for industry offices.

The Events and Experiences team brings the magic of Google to life through physical experiences that make our brand tangible, human, and shareable. You will collaborate across teams and departments to create delightful, one-of-a-kind experiences that leave a lasting impression.

As an Industry Events Manager, you are one of the primary architects of Google Cloud’s physical and digital presence at major global industry moments (e.g., HIMSS, NRF, HLTH). You will be responsible for the end-to-end production of high-visibility industry activations, translating vertical-specific business goals into immersive brand experiences. You will bridge the gap between high-level industry strategy and flawless on-site execution, overseeing the evolution of event frameworks, scaling partner ecosystems, and pioneering AI-driven attendee engagement tools. You are a systems thinker who can ensure the immediate One Google industry narrative is realized globally.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $171000 - $247000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Own tier 1 industry event lifecycles, designing scalable playbooks, workflows, and tools for vertical activations. Partner with industry marketing and practice areas leads to ensure vertical-specific narratives are brought to life through demos, theater programming, and curated attendee journeys.
  • Lead high-priority initiatives that intersect with the industry, such as multi-quarter planning cycles, tiering models for trade shows, and cross-functional ROI analysis.
  • Build scalable systems for special industry requests from ambiguous ideas to operationally structured projects—while supporting the integration of event tech like Swoogo and agentic briefing tools.
  • Act as the operational lead for large vendor ecosystems, helping to develop a long-term strategy for 2027 that ensures booth assets are sustainable, modular, and globally scalable.
  • Oversee the measurement standards for industry activations, translating complex event data and lead-gen metrics into actionable insights for marketing leadership.
