Description

Amazon Global Communications is seeking a Senior Program Manager to serve as the strategic and operational partner to the Vice President of Global Stores and Ads Communications. You will define and execute organizational priorities, manage global budgets and headcount allocation, and ensure efficient execution of cross-functional initiatives. Acting as the primary liaison between the VP and internal stakeholders across Finance, HR, Recruiting, Tech, and Communications leadership, you will synthesize complex information and surface risks and opportunities to drive decision-making.
This role requires a strategic thinker who can operate with autonomy and deliver programs with broad cross-organizational impact. You will partner directly with senior leadership to drive decisions on strategic priorities, organizational planning, resource allocation, and measurement of communications programs. You will also champion innovation in team operations, including the adoption of AI tools to streamline workflows and improve team effectiveness.

Key job responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Executive Support
- Partner with the VP to define, communicate, and execute long-term organizational strategy, including annual operational planning, quarterly business reviews, and team-level plan reviews
- Track progress against key business goals across the global team, developing goal-setting frameworks and managing ongoing progress reporting to VP and SVP leadership
- Support development of internal communications on behalf of the VP to the broader organization
Team Operations and Process Design
- Oversee day-to-day business operations, identifying operational gaps and implementing scalable processes and frameworks to improve team effectiveness
- Own end-to-end budget management, including forecasting spend, tracking actuals, and reallocating resources in response to shifting business priorities
- Act as the operational liaison between the VP and cross-functional partners in Finance, HR, Recruiting, and Tech to ensure alignment and facilitate execution of organization-wide initiatives
- Champion AI tool adoption to streamline workflows such as document drafting, data synthesis, and progress reporting across the organization
Talent Management and Organizational Planning
- Guide organizational planning, including resource redeployment, leadership transitions, and internal mergers, by presenting clear recommendations to leadership and coordinating cross-functionally with HR and Finance
- Support talent development and organizational health initiatives that facilitate onboarding and integration of new leaders and team members
- Lead planning and facilitation of team events, including leadership offsites, town halls, and all-team summits

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in verbal and written communication for executive level leaders
- Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience building scalable programs and repeatable scalable processes, levering various tools and methods to create scale and efficiency
- Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in nature
- Experience in creating and managing budgets
- 10+ years of program management, tech program management, or related experience

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in professional communications or public relations
- Experience in senior level leadership support, or experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company
- Experience working with global cross-functional teams
- Experience working with global teams, driving organizational change initiatives, and developing talent management plans for a global organization
- Proficiency in using AI tools to improve team efficiency and ways of working
- Experience planning and executing large-scale team events and offsites

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
