Why does the job exist?

 
The purpose of this position is to on-board and off-board MVD partners, ensure MVD partners are in compliance with all New Mexico Taxation & Revenue and Motor Vehicle Division policies and procedures, as well as MVD Partner Agreements, and ensure MVD funds are remitted timely from MVD partners.

How does it get done?

 
The Senior Tax and Revenue Representative will work as part of the MVD Partner Management Unit as an MVD Partner Specialist. The position is charged with the compliance and oversight of MVD partner offices that operate on behalf of the Motor Vehicle Division. They will plan, organize, and conduct site visits at MVD partner offices statewide. On-board and off-board MVD partners. Assist with the initial configuration of partner accounts, inventory locations, and ACH sweeps within the MVD system. Audit MVD transactions via hard copy, original documents, and/or scanned documents in the MVD Tapestry system. Review, approve, and fulfill inventory orders. Work with internal and external agencies on criminal, civil, and administrative findings. Testify on behalf of the Motor Vehicle Division in civil, criminal, and administrative cases. The Partner management Specialist will also prepare detailed comprehensive reports and/or supporting documents. Provide general partner support with day-to-day operations, act as a Subject Matter Expert in the MVD fields of Partner Management, Finance, and Field Operations, and provide training and coaching to MVD partner offices.

Minimum Qualification

 
Associate degree in any field and two (2) years of general office, clerical, and/or administrative experience. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Employment Requirements

 
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification within six (6) months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment. Must be current with all tax reporting/payment. Employment is subject to post offer pre-employment criminal background check to include fingerprint checks and is conditional pending results.

Working Conditions

 
Work is performed in a standard office environment with extensive use of computers, visual/video display terminals, and telephone communication. Duties require prolonged periods of sitting, frequent data entry, and coordination activities. Occasional travel to provider locations for audits or training may be required. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds for transporting materials or equipment as needed.
