Senior Test Engineer

Responsibilities

Arcfield is seeking a Senior AI Software Test Engineer to support in Dahlgren, VA in a hybrid capacity.

The Program

• The AI Software Test Engineer will be part of a team of experts charged with providing support in the areas of cyber analysis and cyber development capabilities in response to Navy's and DoD's needs for Cyber Situational Awareness (SA), Cyber Command and Control (C2), Mission Assurance, and Homeland Defense. Program scope includes identifying cyber key terrain by analyzing operational requirements, conducting cyber analyses and assessments, and developing and performing modeling and simulation in support of different cyber threat scenarios. The team will conduct cyber analyses and assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and risks, determine mission and operational impacts, and make appropriate mitigation recommendations. Additionally, program support includes developing methodology and framework in support of cyber risk assessment life cycle. Our team will provide capabilities to support the customer with rapid design, development, test, deployment, maintenance and operation of specific software and hardware capabilities to meet current Cyber Defensive needs.
• Recognized expert within the Company, who designs, researches and develops highly advanced applications, which may result in new product/business opportunities for the Company. Leads efforts to capture new business through technical work and capability briefings. Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 12 - 15 years of experience or a Master's with 10 - 13 years of experience. Devises testing plans, methods and equipment to assure reliability of product in conjunction with product design and specifications. Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment. Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area. Consults with the development and/or requirements team to coordinate and test applications. Performs analysis, diagnostics and preliminary evaluations of products. Develop testing procedures. Develops test plans, scripts, scenarios, functional tests, regression tests, and deployment tests. Implements the testing processes and ensures all test activities follow those processes. Produces reports on each test activity and tracks test metrics. Monitors for continual test process improvement through failure analysis, throughput analysis, yield analysis, and report to management periodically.

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Must have an active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
• Experience testing application capabilities that leverage AI.
• Specifically, testing in a manner that is not hard coded to the same inputs yielding the same outputs.
• Experience with non-deterministic testing such as:
  • Mutation testing
  • Performance testing
  • Acceptance testing
  • Range, threshold, and objective testing
• Experience with Python programming language is a plus.
• Experience with system testing metrics, best practices, and methodologies. Experience working with software development teams.
• Experience participating in requirements and design reviews, developing test plans, writing and executing test cases in a fast-paced software development environment.
• Experience conducting data analysis, data verification and problem-solving.
• Experience with statistical reporting and analysis.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience.
• BS 12-15, MS 10-13, PhD 10+

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

• Experience working on custom development software projects.
• Experience working with DoD customers.
• Experience working on cybersecurity projects.

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
