Sheriff's Department Paid Internship - Project Management Office

The County of Riverside is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student intern for the Sheriff's Department Project Management Office. The role involves gaining practical experience in public infrastructure projects, operational initiatives, and facilities management while supporting various project management tasks.

What you'll do:

• Assist project managers with project planning and scheduling
• Assist with research, data analysis, documentation and stakeholder coordination
• Provide meeting support, procurement processes, contract administration, budgeting, compliance activities, and operational improvement initiatives

What they're looking for:

• Minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average: 2.5 GPA required. Proof of most current unofficial/official transcript with cumulative GPA must be provided at time of application as well as a resume
• Applicants must be currently enrolled/attending school at an accredited college or university in a Bachelor's or Graduate degree program
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, teamwork and collaboration
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Organizational and time-management skills

• Coursework in government budgeting, procurement, policy analysis, organizational management, or public administration
• Current enrollment in or completion of a Master of Public Administration (MPA), Public Policy, Public Affairs, Organizational Leadership, or related graduate MBA program preferred
• Knowledge of local government operations or public works
• Familiarity with public-sector procurement, contract administration, and compliance
• Experience conducting policy research, operational analysis, or program evaluation
• Strong report writing and presentation skills
