Experienced Shift Leader – Jersey Mike’s Subs

Jersey Mike’s Subs is hiring an experienced Shift Leader for our day shift!

We’re looking for a dependable, energetic, and experienced restaurant professional who knows how to lead a team, provide outstanding customer service, and keep a busy restaurant running smoothly.

Restaurant experience is required. This is a leadership position, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable taking charge, coaching team members, maintaining high standards, and leading by example.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate team members during daily shifts

• Provide friendly, fast, and accurate customer service

• Ensure sandwiches and other menu items are prepared according to Jersey Mike’s standards

• Assign tasks and keep team members productive throughout the shift

• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe restaurant

• Handle opening and/or closing shift responsibilities

• Assist with cash handling and register procedures

• Monitor food quality, portioning, and product freshness

• Help train and develop new and existing team members

• Handle customer concerns professionally

• Support management with inventory, prep, and daily restaurant operations

• Set the example for teamwork, urgency, cleanliness, and hospitality

Requirements

• Previous restaurant experience is required

• Previous shift leader, key holder, supervisor, or restaurant leadership experience is strongly preferred

• Must be dependable and able to work scheduled shifts consistently

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Ability to coach and hold team members accountable

• Must understand the importance of food safety and restaurant cleanliness

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform normal restaurant duties
