Simulation Engineer Co-Op

Emerson is a global leader in automation technology and software. The Simulation Engineer Co-Op will assist with creating, solving, post-processing, and documenting computational fluid dynamics simulations for proposed product designs, while contributing to simulation best practices, technology improvements, scripting, automation, and team workflow.

What you'll do:

• Assist in creating, solving, post processing, and documenting fluids (CFD) simulations of proposed product designs
• Contribute to documented best practices to guide users in the application of simulation methods
• Participate in the continuous improvement of simulation specific technologies and processes, including scripting and automation
• Communicate with team members to maintain efficient flow of work through the group

What they're looking for:

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering
• Successful completion of Introductory Fluids course
• Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Junior or Senior Standing
• Experience with numerical simulations
• Experience with CAD software
• Demonstrated experience using Python or other programming/scripting languages
• Prior experience with engineering simulation through internships or project based engineering clubs (i.e. solar car, rocketry club, etc.)
