Small Business Product Summer Internship - Short Hills, NJ (Hybrid)

Selective Insurance is a U.S. property and casualty insurance company offering an 11-week Ignite Internship Program for college students. The Small Business Product Intern will support business initiatives through data analysis, market research, product and marketing communications, production monitoring, and risk management collaboration.

What you'll do:

• Collaborate on Small Business initiatives including leveraging third party data (third party data tool) to improve underwriting outcomes and monitor third party data performance and results
• Help with market research and analysis in the pursuit of new and enhanced opportunities via MarketMax and competitive intel reports
• Support communication efforts from Marketing or Product perspectives
• Use of Power BI to monitor and analyze small business production results, DSM pricing, straight through issuance, region results and hit ratios
• Partner with risk management to identify emerging issues impacting small business policy holders and identify ways to address these issues

What they're looking for:

• Must be a current college student to qualify
• Demonstrate an interest in learning about the insurance industry
• High School Diploma required
• Experience with Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint is preferred but not required
• Ideal internship candidates will be full-time undergraduate college Juniors or Seniors, with the ability to perform at a professional level
