About this role
SteelFab, Inc. is a construction industry company seeking a Software Developer Intern to work alongside its Software Development and Engineering teams. The role supports full-stack development, plugins, customized 3D modeling software, BIM file management, technical support, testing, and documentation.
What you'll do:
- Full-stack development and support for engineering design applications
- Plugin development and support for various software platforms
- Perform System maintenance and version control for highly customized 3D modeling software platform
- Provide Technical support and custom solution development for end users including internal staff and external subcontract users
- Testing, research and development for integrated system updates and internal improvements
- 3D model file management and translation between multiple software platforms (BIM management)
- User guide documentation development and maintenance
- Perform other duties as requested by management
What they're looking for:
- Minimum Education Level: Sophomore
- Major : Computer Science, Mechanical, Civil or Systems Engineering
- Required: Programming experience or training for.NET environments (C#, C++, VB)
- Aptitude for computer and technology systems in a Windows-based environment
- Preferred: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical, Civil or Systems Engineering
- Associate or Technology degree for similarly focused programs will be considered
