SOFTWARE ENGINEER 1

HII is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer to support information systems used in the construction of highly complex products. The role involves designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and enhancing operating systems-level software and enterprise-integrated business systems using platforms such as SAP, Teamcenter, SharePoint, SQL Server, and Oracle.

What you'll do:

• Design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software. Set operational specifications, and formulate and analyze software requirements. May design embedded systems software
• The engineer will help develop, maintain, and enhance systems that integrate with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Teamcenter, SharePoint, and others, while working with advanced database technologies such as SQL Server and Oracle. The role includes participating in collaborative sessions with developers, business partners, systems engineers, solution architects, and administrators to understand requirements, implement features, and deliver value across multiple technical domains

• One of the following may be used as an equivalent to Bachelor's Degree for Information Technology Related Positions Only:
• NNS Apprentice School graduate
• Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
• Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
• Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
• High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
• High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
