## About the Business LexisNexis® Risk Solutions provides customers with solutions and decision tools that combine public and industry specific content with advanced technology and analytics to assist them in evaluating and predicting risk and enhancing operational efficiency. ## About our Team We are a technology team responsible for designing, building, and supporting a centralized platform that powers all customer transactions. ## About the Role As an entry-level Software Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of software components within a specific product area. ## Responsibilities - Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of simple complexity. - Under the guidance of senior-level engineers, successfully implement development processes, coding best practices and code reviews. - Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders. - Complete bug fixes and resolve basic technical issues as necessary. - Keep abreast of new technology developments. - All other duties as assigned. ## Requirements - Basic knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). - Basic knowledge of data manipulation languages. - Experience building REST APIs and solid experience with SQL. - Knowledge of data storage subsystems. - Hands-on experience working with Java 21, Spring Boot and Spring Framework. - Knowledge of test-driven development. - Ability and desire to learn new processes and technologies. - Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills and interpersonal skills.
