Software Engineer

RespireUSA is hiring a Software Engineer to contribute production-quality code, tests, and documentation for software applications. The role works from defined technical requirements and confirms expected outcomes before changes are released.

What you'll do:

• Review logs and debugging output to isolate software errors
• Document important implementation decisions and technical limitations
• Improve straightforward performance or reliability issues within scope
• Follow established practices for handling credentials and sensitive data
• Add or update unit tests for code you modify
• Work with APIs and handle ordinary data validation or error cases
• Check code changes locally before submitting them for testing

What they're looking for:

• Ability to work independently on well-defined tasks in a remote team
• Basic familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Attention to code quality, security, and clear technical communication
• Working ability in at least one programming language such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or C#
• Ability to write and interpret simple automated tests
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
