Software Engineer

JD Software is a growing GovTech company based in Salem, MA, specializing in innovative SaaS solutions for the public sector. They are seeking a Software Engineer to develop software applications for clients and optimize operational efficiency through software solutions.

What you'll do:

• Develop software application for clients using software development languages like Java, C#, Visual Basic, C++, and SQL, assisting in the development and support custom enterprise applications development, systems integration, Data Warehousing, and reporting
• Analyze user needs, design and develop software solutions for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency
• Determine feasibility of software design within project time and cost constraints
• Analyze and design databases within an application area
• Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
• These tests include unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, accessibility testing, and vulnerability testing

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or closely related field or foreign equivalent
• 12 months of experience in software development
• Proficiency in secure coding techniques, including protections against SQL and HTML/JavaScript injection, and Cross-Site Scripting (XSS)
• Familiarity with Software Vulnerability Assessment tools such as Burp Suite
