Software Engineer

The John Gore Organization is a leading presenter, distributor, and marketer of Broadway theatre worldwide. The company is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer to design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot internal full-stack applications, services, and databases while collaborating with senior engineers and cross-functional stakeholders.

What you'll do:

• Write, test and debug code across front-end and back-end components
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects
• Document code and technical processes
• Collaborate within a team environment and across teams or with external partners or vendors to design and implement new features
• Participate in code reviews and follow team coding standards
• Continuously learn new tools, languages, and best practices
• Meet agreed upon deadlines
• Perform duties with little or no supervision
• Attend required training or team/company events
• Adhere to company guidelines and policies

What they're looking for:

• Requires bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience/competency in building applications with Microsoft .NET Framework with a strong history of using C#
• Experience building web-based applications including:
• Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, CSS
• Consuming and creating APIs
• Experience working with data storage to include:
• Designing data models
• Relational databases such as MSSQL, PostgreSQL, NOSQL variants such as Dynamo a plus
• Cloud storage such as S3
• Ability to take a positive team approach to working with co-workers and adhering to our SDLC
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to adjust to changing priorities
